Trust Her is the programmatic arm of CPAL's reproductive and maternal health strategy. Trust Her works to optimize our systems along a woman's entire healthcare journey. This means ensuring women can access their preferred method of contraception without barriers so they can time their pregnancies for when they are ready, to building out resources and clinical support for moms during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
The Trust Her Clinic Finder helps identify health centers and providers in Dallas County you can visit for family planning care like birth control and contraceptive counseling, or prenatal care if you’re pregnant or trying to become pregnant.

Eviction at Dallas College
Analysis from CPAL and Dallas College explores how eviction affects Dallas College students and opportunities for support.
- Housing providers filed 4,114 evictions against 3,352 Dallas College students from 2017 to spring 2022. For students with an eviction filing while enrolled at Dallas College, just 4% went on to earn a credential.
- Black students, students with children, female students, and American Indian/Alaskan Native students are overrepresented in the subset of students with an eviction filing.

- In 2024, landlords filed 50,117 evictions in Dallas County – 200 per business day — the highest level in 25 years of available data.
- Across Dallas County in 2024, 52% of eviction cases favored the landlord, and 48% favored the tenant. However, case outcomes, especially in contested cases, varied by Justice of the Peace court.
- Ultimately, 17% of eviction cases ended with the execution of a writ of possession, meaning the tenants and their belongings were physically removed from the rental unit.

- In this CPAL Partner Spotlight, we explore how Dallas College partnered with the Child Poverty Action Lab (CPAL) to better identify and support student parents — an often-overlooked group facing barriers to completing their education.
- By integrating CPAL’s data analysis with Dallas College’s holistic Student Care Network, the college was able to identify 8,500 student parents supporting more than 25,000 children — and connect many of them with public benefits, wraparound services, and long-term opportunities for economic mobility.
